Welcome to the BSA Troop 637 Website

Boy Scout Troop 637 serves Sedalia, Larkspur, Castle Rock, Castle Pines, and Castle Pines North, Colorado and the surrounding communities.

In 2023, we are celebrating our 40th anniversary! We maintain a rich tradition of empowering scouts to become leaders through troop meetings, outdoor adventures, and community service projects. We are a very active outdoors troop, camping year-round at least once a month. We offer regular camping opportunities for the whole troop as well as high adventure camping activities for scouts that have obtained the rank of First Class and above.

Troop 637 meets at Sedalia Elementary or Douglas Fire Station in Sedalia, CO on Tuesday evenings from 7-8:30 pm.

Every month, the boy leaders of the troop plan a fun activity that helps build troop morale and teamwork. If you are interested in joining a boy-led troop, please come and visit any of our Troop meetings. We'd really like to meet you and see if our Troop is a fit for you and your son. If you decide that this Troop is for you, please use the contact us link on the left side of this page.  We look forward to hearing from you!

Week of 8/27

Posted on Aug 26 2017 - 10:54pm

Tuesday Night

Swim night at the Castle Pines HOA pool. Dress for the pool!

We like to say that "many hands make for light work".   The  skills and character development that make up the scouting experience happen in no small part because of the the involvement of positive  adult role models. The following events are in need of adult participants:

Fay Myer Hot Dog and Brat Sales Septmeber 9th

Fundraising isn't anyone's favorite, but  it is  necessary for keeping membership fees low.  It pays for expenses such as equipment maintenance, equipment purchases, facility rentals, trailer licensing and other Troop overhead costs. Fay Myer hot dog and brat sales and King Soopers cards have worked well for us. In order to maintain these revenue streams, we must meet minimum amounts at King Soopers and we must present a good showing at Fay Myer.  Thank you for using your King Soopers cards and signing up  here as a family to cover a shift  on September 9th at  Fay Myers.

Mueller State Park Camp Out September 23rd

Not  first class yet? This is the event for you. Troop equipment is available. Sign up on the right. Bonus: fall colors likely!

Fay Myer graciously pays for the food.Tips are ours to keep. Last June we were able to raise in the neighborhood of $850.00. We would like to have 3-4 scouts and 2 adults to cover setup, grilling, and serving between 8 and 4. Shifts are fine.

See you Tuesday!
